Redemption Kids

Sean Mortenson / January 26, 2016

Our goal is to provide a safe, loving environment where your children have fun and grow in their understanding of The Gospel. Redemption Kids is, of course, and ministry to the children; but it is just as much a ministry to parents. Therefore we look to be supportive and considerate in our practices, from how we communicate to what snacks we choose. Even the policies we put in place are in effort to ensure that your child(ren) are well taken care of and that you, the parent, can feel comfortable checking them into our care.

We have five Redemption Kids classrooms. They are divided as follows:

  • Nursery (Newborns – Crawlers)
  • Toddlers (Walkers – 2 years)
  • Pre-K (3 – 4 years)
  • Kindergarten – 1st Grade (5 – 6 years)
  • 2nd – 4th Grade (7 – 9 years)

The Pre-K and older classrooms work through The Gospel Project curriculum each week.

The Gospel Project is a three-year chronological study through the Bible that uniquely connects each Bible story to the Gospel, with Jesus as the central focus. The Gospel Project helps kids to see that the Gospel is not just the first four books of the New Testament, but the entire Bible pointing to God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ. Each week, all classrooms will study the same story in an age-appropriate way.

Check-In

New Families

Please visit the Kids Check-In Station, located on the northern side of the Classroom Building, right outside the entrance to The Chapel. We will have volunteers available to walk you through a simple process to input your information, then direct you and your child(ren) to the appropriate classroom.

Returning Families

Simply visit the Kids Check-In Station, located on the northern side of Classroom Building, right outside the entrance to The Chapel. You will be able to check-in all children at once using your key-tag, or by entering your phone number to access your profile.

ID Stickers

At Check-In, every child will receive one ID Sticker to be placed on them during class. Parents will also receive an ID Sticker that corresponds to the one(s) on their child(ren). FOR SECURITY PURPOSES, PARENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR ID STICKER WHEN PICKING UP THEIR CHILD(REN). Be sure to hold onto it.

Volunteering

Being a small church with a lot of kids, the need for people to serve in children’s ministry is great. A large percentage of people in our body already volunteer, which is great. But the more volunteers we have, the more we can spread out the number of times people are scheduled.

Would you commit to serving one Sunday a month in Redemption Kids?

You don’t need to be an expert. It doesn’t need to be your calling. We simply need people willing to fill the need and love kids for an hour and a half once a month.

Because we care about our kids, we need potential volunteers to fill out an application that includes a background check. After you fill out the application we will contact you about the next steps, which include a training orientation.
